'Turtle Ark' at Linton

ShellShock Campaign 'TURTLE ARK' AT LINTON ZOO
	Linton Zoo has always been involved in the breeding and conservation of tortoises so we were delighted at the EAZA choice for fund- raising for 2005!
	Linton Zoo is considered one of the leading zoos in the care and breeding of tortoises and terrapins of the world and already has several established breeding groups of the endangered species selected for the Turtle Arks.
Over the last few years Linton have assisted customs by providing a home for tortoises illegally imported which they have seized, the most recent to arrive are a group of two male and five female baby Indian Star tortoises, a species highly prized by collectors and endangered in the wild.
