Keeper Experience
Cambridgeshires Wildlife Breeding Centre
Our Keeper experience days are perfect for the animal mad person. With the main focus on Lemurs they are designed specifically to give you a zoo keeper experience and enable you the opportunity to not only get close to some of the zoo animals but to understand more about the important role that modern day zoos play in the conservation and protection of some of the worlds most endangered creatures.
Your experience will be very 'hands on' and will include activities such as helping with the presentation of educational talks, cleaning enclosures, preparing diets and feeding, preparing enrichment feeds.
You may also have the opportunity of helping with the care of some of the other zoo animals which may include tapir, wallabies, snakes and invertebrates, marabou storks, owls or giant tortoises.
Adult Package (14 yrs+) £110
2 hour experience 10.45am - 12.45pm
Meet the Lemurs and help the keepers with their daily routine of cleaning, feeding and presentation of any scheduled educational talks.
Also included; annual sponsorship of your favourite lemur; disposable camera; certificate of participation; donation to wild lemur conservation projects, and admission to the zoo.
Time and circumstances permitting you may be able to help the keepers with some of our other animals. While we will try to accommodate your preferences we cannot guarantee your specified choice.
After your experience you are free to wander around the zoo for the rest of the day.
Children's Package (8-13 yrs) £120 for one child and an accompanying adult. Up to two extra children can accompany the primary nominated child £30 each.
One and a half hour experience 11.00 am - 12.30 pm
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, the adult will be expected to participate in some of the activities too!

Activities may be subject to change on the day due to welfare or operational factors. The programme of activities is dependent on the capability of the participants, however, where it is possible, reasonable adjustment will be made to try to ensure that the experience is open to all.
We want you to have a safe and enjoyable experience, all participants must abide by the health and safety regulations of Linton Zoo.
It may be necessary to share some activities with other participants.
A reasonable level of fitness is required to take part in this programme.
